Calling all Perth burlesque fans: From the 24th to the 27th of October our city will be immersed in a parade of glamour and tease with the returning (and sixth) Perth International Burlesque Festival (PIBF). Taking over four venues in the city across three nights, along with one special regional show down in Denmark, there’ll be international guests, workshops and of course, plenty of sizzling dancing.
Produced by Tease Industries, audiences will have the pleasure of catching performances from international headliners Chris Oh! from Europe and Sweetpea from the US, along with national treasure Jazida (pictured, below by @alexisdleaphotography). All three have competed at world-class events like the Hall Of Fame in Las Vegas, earning awards such as “Most Dazzling Dancer” and “Princess Of Burlesque”. They’ll be joined by fellow Australian performers like recent Miss Burlesque Australia Bettie Bombshell and Miss Burlesque Victoria 2019, WA’s own Scarlet Adams.
The festival weekend will feature four shows:
Oct 24 – Burlesque At Boston @ Boston Brewing Co, Denmark
Oct 25 – The Tease Factory @ The Court Hotel, Northbridge
Oct 26 – Club Burlesque Gala @ The Astor Theatre, Mt Lawley
Oct 26 – Glitter Crash After Party @ Connections, Northbridge
In addition to the shows, there’ll be workshops running on Octber 27 at Freo.Social with each of the headline artists, along with a fire course with Tink and photo workshop with Chayla Taylor the day before.
For more information and tickets to all events and workshops, head to the Perth International Burlesque Festival Website.
