Come From Away: Another global smash hit musical kicks off in Perth this weekend!

In a banner year for world class musical theatre making its way to Perth, the good times will keep rolling on when Tony and Olivier award-winning musical Come From Away flies into Crown Theatre from May 6.

The show has been playing to standing ovations over east since opening in July of 2019, and now Broadway’s hit musical makes its way to Perth!

The show is based on an incredible true story that happened in the immediate aftermath of September 11, when 38 planes carrying almost 7000 people from over 100 different countries were redirected to the remote Canadian town of Gander.

The heartwarming tale captures generosity and hospitality of the small community, who invited the “come from aways” into their homes during an incredibly turbulent time in global history.

With book, music and lyrics by David Hein and Irene Sankoff, Come From Away is directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley, choreographed by Olivier Award winner Kelly Devine (Rock of Ages, Diana), with music supervision by Ian Eisendrath (A Christmas Story, Diana), scenic design by Beowulf Boritt (Rock of Ages, Be More Chill), costume design by Toni-Leslie James (Jelly’s Last Jam), lighting design by Howell Binkley (Jersey Boys, Hamilton), and sound design by Gareth Owen (Diana, A Bronx Tale).
