Getting into the EV market? Find out why BYD is one of Australia’s most popular
Given the future will be filled with electric vehicles, perhaps you’re wondering how you can enter the world of low-emissions travel?
Up until recently they’ve seemed financially out of reach for most of us, not to mention waiting for charging infrastructure to catch up with growing demand…
Well it’s 2024 and EV charging stations are becoming more common by the day around WA, while the cost of owning one is also coming way down.
One emerging player in the market is BYD, reaching over 2000 owners in Perth and over 10,000 nationally. The brand is growing with four experience centres around Perth in Nedlands, Cannington, West Perth and Osborne Park, offering you a chance to check out their affordable range of vehicles.
They’ve got three models to choose from, with an array of features that come standard. The BYD ATTO 3 for example boasts:
- Up to 480 km driving range;
- 5 star ANCAP safety rating (lane departure warning, intelligent cruise control, automatic emergency braking system, front and rear collision warning);
- 12.8 inch intelligent rotating touch screen with phone connectivity and, wireless phone charger.
- Plus, easy charging direct from home or at a charging station around WA;
Prices range from $41,760 (Dolphin) up to $54,210 (Seal), while their ATTO 3 small SUV starts at $52,030.
