Go, Speed Racer! An Epic New Electric Go Kart Track Has Just Opened South Of Perth
If you haven’t ripped a few laps around PowerPlay’s original Joondalup location – you haven’t lived!
The state-of-the-art, two-level indoor electric go karting track has been a hit since opening a couple of years ago, with more than 150,000 racers zipping and sliding over 1.5 million laps.
And now, they’re powering up the competitive FUN in the southern suburbs with a second location in Bibra Lake – open seven days a week!
You can level up your private functions, corporate bookings, team-building days, birthday parties and bucks parties, or grab a mate or three and head in for the joy of the slide. No matter your excuse, these indoor and air-conditioned centres will leave you with a big grin and some tall tales.
The karts themselves are instantly responsive and capable of reaching maximum speeds of up to heart-racing 70km/h, with no lag or fumes.
“There’s no fumes, no dust, no fighting the weather or the elements – PowerPlay is completely indoors, air-conditioned, clean, quietish and a whole lot of FUN,” says CEO and 3-times Asian Pacific Rally Champion, Glenn Macneall.
The new two-level track in Bibra Lake has been built with plenty of room, meaning fast corners and ‘power slides’ (if you dare), and features hairpin bends, sweeping corners, a bridge and tunnel section, and a huge selection of arcade games to keep the competition hot while you’re taking a break.

PowerPlay is a truly global affair, with its Sodi Karts imported from France, the track from Italy and its state-of-the-art Electronic Safety System coming out of the Netherlands, meaning karts can have maximum speeds adjusted according to the age range and ability of those racing.
You can find the new Bibra Lake location at 7 Sobek Pass and Joondalup at 136 Winton Road. Both sites are open 7 days a week from 10 am to 9 pm.
Head to the PowerPlay Website to book your next session and unleash your inner Mario or Princess Peach.
