If there’s one thing we think about mums, it’s that they’re bloomin’ wonderful! And why not celebrate all the mums in our lives with a big, bright ode to everything beautiful?

Subi Blooms is back for another massive Mother’s Day weekend – even bigger and bloom-ier than ever.

Subi Blooms 2023

The huge three-day event sees the streets of Subiaco explode with colour from Friday 12 May to Sunday 14 May, as some of Perth’s most talented and in-demand floral designers create spectacular large-scale installations to celebrate the splendidness of mums.

This year’s installations showcase over 10,000 blooms sourced from the Netherlands to New Zealand, Japan to Columbia, and the very best florals from Perth.

13 florists have created stunning installations, including a Y2K-inspired peace sculpture, cascading florals outside of Linneys, freestanding angel wings, a fridge overflowing with bright blooms, an Insta-perfect pair of beach lounge chairs surrounded by tropical blooms, and even a rainbow bench seat paying homage to the LGBTQIA+ community.

The thirteen florists who will each have an installation include The Flower Girl, Sonny + Willow, Sir Botanical, Signature Floral Design, Freakhaus, Hannah Etherington Flowers, Cottage Garden, Maple & Wren, Bohemian Flowers, Pop Floral Studio, Flower Nation, Edie & Ivy Flowers and Bloom Bby.

You can also grab some brekkie or lunch at one of Subi’s tasty eateries then stroll through the streets with your mum, grandma or the special mum-person in your life to spot the breathtaking floral delights. Who knows, maybe you and mum might even find yourself hankering a cheeky wine afterwards?

The stunning installations will be sprinkled along Rokeby Road and Hay Street until Sunday afternoon – after which the florals will be dismantled and turned into beaut bouquets for new and expectant mums at King Edward Memorial Hospital. Gorgeous!

To make your Mother’s Day shopping even more exciting, spend $100 in Subiaco between now and 15 May to go in the draw to win a Mother’s Day Pamper Pack that includes $100 vouchers to Table Culture, Jana Beauty, Shui and a five-class pack to Rumble Boxing Subiaco – more details here.
