If you loved Moulin Rouge! The Musical, you’ll love the Broadway smash hit, & JULIET
After dominating the West End and Broadway, the multi-award winning & Juliet played a sold-out season in Melbourne to rave reviews, and now, it’s Perth’s turn to witness this pop music blockbuster.
We’re the second Australian city to witness the Olivier and Tony Award winner live, while it still plays to full houses on Broadway after opening there almost a year ago!
This is no ordinary musical – the soundtrack by legendary songwriter Max Martin is full of some of the most iconic pop anthems of all time.
Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys, Ariana Grande, Celine Dion and too many more to list, with some critics saying, “If you loved Moulin Rouge, then this will blow your mind.”
And one sneaky teaser is that there is a moment halfway through the show, when Juliet sings the pop anthem Roar that is out of this world! You may think you’re at the Grammy Awards or a mega-star stadium concert. But, that’s all we can say.
Written by the Emmy-winning writer from Schitt’s Creek, David West Read; & Juliet flips the script on Shakespeare’s greatest love story, imagining a world where Juliet gets a second chance at life and love post-Romeo
The Australian production is led by rising star Lorinda May Merrypor, who was hailed by critics in Melbourne as “A revelation”. Aus’ music megastars Rob Mills holds the quill as Shakespeare, alongside music theatre legend Amy Lehpamer trying to rewrite the narrative as his wife, Anne.
Rounding out the headliners is show stopping ARIA Award winner Casey Donovan, tearing up the stage with her powerhouse vocals and hilarious comedy skills.
“We were overjoyed with the response Melbourne had to & Juliet, and we can’t wait to hear Perth roar when the show opens there in December,” said Australian producer Michael Cassel.

“& Juliet is pure joy and audiences have fallen in love with the transformative blend of Max Martin’s iconic songs with the remixed take on Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers.”
The rest of the cast is a who’s who of Aussie stars of the screen and stage, including Blake Appelqvist (Fangirls), Hayden Tee, who has not only made his mark here in Australia, but also on the West End and Broadway. They’re joined by brand new talents Yashith Fernando and Jesse Dutlow taking to the stage, wowing audiences and critics alike.
& Juliet will play six weeks only at Crown Theatre from December 30, and tickets are on sale now!
