Perth’s weather has been pretty wet and wild this week, with huge winds, heaps of rain and even the Perth Airport losing power. Through it though, we’ve been safely tucked away in warm beds or in our offices – but what about rough sleepers?
This wild weather has actually coincided with Homeless Week, which runs until Sunday, August 7th. While there are heaps of ways to get involved, one of the easiest is to tuck into a delicious bacon and egg roll from Bobby’s BBQ Truck.
Located at the Pan Pacific Perth, Bobby’s began during the pandemic, when the hotel opened its doors to those sleeping rough in the city. As well as picking up a meal for themselves, customers could pay it forward, shouting a meal for someone who couldn’t afford it.
This mission has continued, and this week they’re calling on you to enjoy a cheeky bacon and egg roll!
The truck partners with local community services provider Ruah – with the sale of every roll going towards finding a safe, permanent housing solution for Perth’s rough sleepers. If you’re feeling generous, there will also be a convenient tap and go donation set up at the truck.
For more info, you can head to the Bobby’s BBQ website HERE.
Bobby’s BBQ Truck is located outside the Pan Pacific Perth, at 207 Adelaide Terrace, and is open from 6.30am – 2.00pm every day.
