Fred Again announces last minute Sydney Opera House show, rest of Australia to follow?
Reddit threads and social media were abuzz last night with Australian Fred Again fans hopeful the London-based producer was headed down under following some typically cryptic messages including airport transit stories and hotel room photos.
Well this morning Sydney fans awoke to the exciting news that he’ll be performing a stripped back show at the Sydney Opera House, with tickets going on sale this morning and online queues going straight to the tens of thousands.
As we all know, it’s a long way from the UK to Australia, which would suggest more show announcements (of a substantially bigger size) to come.

Tonight’s show is in the Opera House Concert Hall, which barely has a capacity of 2,500, and with the queue at times getting up over 60,000, one gets the feeling this is just the beginning.
If you’re wondering about the last minute-ness of it all – it’s a concerted effort to reduce the ability of ticket scalpers to get involved.
Last year we had a bit of fun with Fred Again secret party in Perth news, and while that didn’t come to fruition for WA fans following his St Jerome’s Laneway Festival set, we’re willing to put a few bucks on a cheeky Perth date at some point in the next couple of weeks.
We also note his good pal Mikey Skinner AKA The Street is playing a show at Metro City next Wednesday 6 March – do with that information what you will.
