Lotterywest City of Light Shows: Elizabeth Quay will light up for two huge nights this weekend!

In recent weeks we’ve been looking at how Lotterywest grants are helping the people of our State through a variety of different avenues, and this week we’re spotlighting the huge City of Light Shows coming up soon!

The Lotterywest City of Light Show series kicks off with a unique light-themed experience on the water at Elizabeth Quay on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November 2023. 

Thanks to West Aussies playing Lotto, a $550,000 grant has gone towards City of Perth funding this show and another in February, with all events offering free, family-friendly entertainment for all ages.

The grant has also helped make the show more accessible and inclusive, with Auslan interpreters and audio descriptions used wherever possible.

It kicks off from 5pm with a thrilling new experience, The Light Within, set atop a floating stage with magical storytelling courtesy of MC Luminous, guiding crowds through the story of light through dance, music and magic. (That’s the render you see at the top of this article!)

Meanwhile on land there’s plenty to keep kids both big and small entertained, including roving entertainment, giant bubble zone, hula hoop workshop, Storm and Teacup ride, sideshow alley, food trucks and the BHP Water Park.
