Over the past 26 years, the Revelation Perth International Film Festival (Rev) has continued to grow into one of this country’s most beloved and respected independent film fests.

From humble beginnings as an underground film festival in the basement of the Greenwich Club in Perth, Rev is now recognised as one of the world’s most distinctive film festivals happening annually right here in Perth!

Returning this July to Luna Cinemas Leederville for its 26th instalment, Rev is back once again to champion Australian screen culture and independent filmmakers within a brand new format.

For the first time ever, Rev 2023 takes place over five jam-packed days from Wednesday 12-Sunday 16 July, with a huge program of premieres, short films and documentaries to challenge and excite the people of Perth.

With much more to be announced, Rev has already put its strongest foot forward with the Australian premiere of Perth director Ben Young’s heavily-anticipated new film, Devil’s Peak, shot in the US with renowned actors Billy Bob Thornton and Robin Wright.

Other films so far announced include Canadian indie feature I Like Movies, experimental film Hello Dankness from New York-based Australian siblings Dan and Dominique Angeloro AKA Soda Jerk, and the must-see Russian found footage documentary, Manifesto.

There’s also the world premiere of Albany and Mt Barker-shot Frank and Frank, the return of Rev’s popular – and completely FREE – International Family Animation Explosion, celebration of locally-made movies Westralia Day, the return of Get Your Shorts On! and the City of Vincent Film Project Special Event on closing night.
