Strap on your skates, Kalamunda’s Rollerrama is set to reopen later this month!
Although it seems like we’re plagued by constant sad updates about local icons – sometimes an icon is reborn, rising triumphantly like a phoenix from the ashes.
Kalamunda’s Rollerrama is one such phoenix, set to reopen later this month decades after first opening its doors.
The boutique rollerskating rink is being brought back to life by local skating enthusiast Sarah Andros, who first began skating at the age of nine and has been facilitating rollerskating workshops and roller discos since 2009.
Located at 38 Collins Road, Kalamunda, the rink is set to reopen on June 24, with a ticketed Grand Opening party.
Kids who aren’t experienced on their skates will be able to sign up for hour-long Skool of Skate sessions to get them rolling with confidence – while every Friday and Saturday evening will see the rink light up for the weekly rollerdisco, complete with DJs, games and more.
