The Synergy Xmas Lights Trail is back! Build your own trail while supporting local communities
Christmas is getting so close we can almost smell the gingerbread and better than that – we can already see it thanks to the return of the now-iconic Synergy Xmas Lights Trail!
Connecting and celebrating our WA community, Synergy is helping the people of Perth find some spectacular light displays, along with supporting Ruah Community Services to help fund support services to the vulnerable and disadvantaged this Christmas.
This year they’ve made it even easier to plan your trail with the launch of the upgraded Synergy Xmas Lights Trail website, encouraging families to check in to the light displays they visit to help raise funds for Ruah Community Services.

Here’s how it works:
1. Create a visitor profile to get started.
2. Browse homes by suburb and add light displays to your Trail.
3. View your saved light displays on a map or as a list in My Trail.
It’s that easy! Then, when you and your family are out enjoying the wonderful lights around Perth, you can check in to each light display you visit by scanning the QR code on that house’s lawn sign, and just by doing that you go into the draw to win a $500 Synergy account credit*.
Even better, every time you check in, Synergy will donate $1 to Ruah Community Services (up to $40,000), on top of an initial $10,000 donation as part of the ‘Light up a life’ appeal^.
The ‘Light up a life’ appeal raises money for the work Ruah does to support women and children in the WA community who are experiencing family and domestic violence, which typically spikes at Christmas and New Year resulting in increased demand on community services.
