Ah 1994 – what a time to be alive.
A fun new sitcom called Friends has just hit the screens; The Lion King is roaring into cinemas; OJ Simpson is fleeing police in a White Bronco; Netscape Navigator is a young internet’s hottest browser; and the mighty West Coast Eagles back up their trailblazing 1992 AFL Premiership with another win over the Geelong Cats.

And with 2024 being the 30th anniversary of that 143 v 63 smashing, West Coast are celebrating in Round 13 at home against North Melbourne (Geelong aren’t coming to Perth this year).
On game day (tickets here) there’ll be a host of premiership stars in attendance, and the 30th Anniversary celebrations also come with a rad new line of clothing from Mitchell & Ness.

Included in the range are some retro-style tees and jumpers, along with an epic bomber jacket we’ve been eyeing off since laying our eyes on it – as modelled by club CEO Don Pyke with fellow ‘94 premiership player, Tony Evans, below:

We’re also getting in on the fun with one serious competition – the winner scoring two Field Club tickets to West Coast v Hawthorn (includes premium centre wing seating, warm-up room access, 4-hour food and beverage package and more), plus $500 worth of the new merch!

After entering the competition in 1987 alongside Brisbane, the West Coast Eagles wasted no time in securing their first premiership in 1992, defeating Geelong on the back of a Norm Smith Medal-winning performance by Peter Matera on a wing.
After missing the last dance in 1993, the Eagles stormed their way into the ‘94 Grand Final and controlled the affair from the get-go thanks to a dominant midfield led by Norm Smith winner Dean Kemp, along with Pyke and Evans, eventually winning by 80 points.

The Eagles will be hoping for something similar in their Round 13 game against the Kangaroos – you can grab tickets here, and cop some of that epic Mitchell & Ness merch here.
