It’s game on for tennis fans this summer as some of the world’s top-ranked players descend on Perth for the third edition of the United Cup tournament.

Set to serve up six days of epic singles and mixed doubles matches, the United Cup returns to the RAC Arena from Friday 27 December to Wednesday 1 January (tickets here).

There’s 18 countries in total battling it out for glory, with each team featuring a mix of male and female superstars, and this year’s line-up is stacked with some of the biggest names in the sport, including two Grand Slam Singles Champions and the current Gold and Silver Medalist will all be in Perth.

That includes the likes of Women’s World #3 Coco Gauff and Men’s World #4  Taylor Fritz representing Team USA, 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan), and reigning United Cup Champion and World #2 Alexander Zverev back to defend Germany’s crown.

Lob in crowd favourites Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari for Team Greece, plus Olympic gold medallist and World #5 Qinwen Zheng, who’s returning to rep Team China, and it’s a top-tier lineup for our little corner of the world.

The action kicks off in Perth on the Friday with Kazakhstan taking on Spain at 10am AWST, and from there RAC Arena will host group stage matches featuring some of the sport’s biggest rivalries, including USA vs. Canada on Sunday 29 December.

And as the calendar flips to 2025, Perth will celebrate in style with a New Year’s Day quarterfinal you won’t want to miss.

Not only is Perth lucky enough to host some of the tournament’s most exciting matches, but history shows we’re a charm for champions – both previous United Cup winners, Germany and the USA played their early rounds right here in the west.

Zheng even credits last year’s Perth matches for launching her stunning 2024 season, which included a run to the Australian Open final!

Tickets are super affordable too, starting at just $40 for adults and $20 for kids, with family passes (two adults and two children) available from $100.

Bring your mates, your fam, or just yourself and get ready for an unforgettable week of tennis, cheering, and a couple of cheeky courtside brews.
