More than just a game of golf: The Vines Resort is an epic staycay option close to the CBD

When you think of romantic getaways easily accessible from Perth, perhaps one centred around a golf course doesn’t immediately spring to mind, but we’re here to try and persuade you!

Sure, a cheeky nine or 18 holes amongst the kangaroos could be on the cards at one of Perth’s best public golf courses, but The Vines Resort has a heap to offer in terms of luxury and relaxation.

First up it’s only 40 minutes from the CBD, close enough to not be a punish, but far enough to feel like you’re at least going on a little holiday!

If you’re visiting during the warmer months the outdoor swimming pool is perfect for lazing around, or you can max-relax in the outdoor spa.

Feeling active? There’s four full-sized tennis courts to hit up, an indoor squash court, fully-equipped gym and a fun mini golf course to putt around over a couple of quiet drinks.

You’ve also got the Keishi Day Spa open from 9am every day that features a variety of different treatment options, including a powerful hot stones massage that’ll sort out any muscular tension or stress you’re carrying into the stay.

Dining-wise Muscat’s Restaurant is open for dinner during the warmer months to go with a buffet breakfast year-round, while The Vines Cafe & Bar (open for lunch and dinner seven days a week all year) serves up great pub meals (including an insanely good chicken parmi), beer and cocktails, with sport on the big screens.

Finally the rooms are well-appointed, and even though you’re at a golf course actually offer an apres ski resort kinda vibe and plenty of different options to suit any staycay situation.

All rooms come with king beds, big TVs and walk-in showers and nice balconies to chill on and watch the golf action, with the bigger rooms also featuring free-standing spa baths.
