The Best Art, Craft and Fabric Stores in Perth
As someone who enjoys a bit of a crafternoon (instagram.com/smallfry.stitches, if you’re curious), sometimes you just want to stock up on supplies somewhere that doesn’t rhyme with shmotlight… Whether you’re into papercrafts, painting, knitting or cross stitch, these local stores are staffed with crafting pros that can help anyone from amateur to experts.
Potter & Co
This might be Perth’s chicest fabric store. Tucked away on a suburban street in North Perth, Potter & Co stock a beautifully curated range of linen, cotton, denim, Japanese wool and more. And when you browse their instagram and see what their customers have sewn, you might just be inspired to have a go at sewing something too.

Calico and Ivy
This cute as a button Mosman Park store is home to a charming collection of fabric, yarns, felt and patterns. It’s worth checking out their newsletter, too, as they have an impressive roster of classes in topics from knitting, smocking and embroidery, to quilting, crochet and sewing – including from visiting experts. If you ever wanted to learn a craft, now is the time!

Stitchers Corner
Stitchers Corner is an absolute treasure trove for anyone interested in cross stitch, embroidery, or any other needlework crafts. Crossways Wool and Fabric
Conveniently located across from my favourite laksa spot. Definitely a must-visit for any aspiring knitters, Crossways Wool and Fabric is little yet filled to the brim with all the wool and yarn you could dream of, at heaps of price points – so whether you’re looking for a luxurious merino or alpaca wool, or more budget friendly acrylic, they’ll have what you need.
