What To Do Around Perth This Father’s Day

Welp, as per usual Father’s Day is just around the corner and if you haven’t planned anything yet, we’re here to help! Below you’ll find a bunch of fun things to do, or perhaps a cool gift or two:
Bivouac Canteen

In The Pines
As far as live music events go in Western Australia, one of the longest-running and most-beloved is RTRFM 92.1’s In The Pines. Set within the spectacular surrounds of UWA’s Somerville Auditorium, it has seen some of WA’s best acts grace the stage, along with being the making of many an emerging artist in its 28 year history. If your dad fancies himself as a bit of a rock and roller, this could be the perfect day out – it’s family friendly, with great food and booze on offer to go with the exciting lineup of 20 excellent Perth artists. Old Bridge Cellars
Old Bridge Cellars are kings of the small biz collabs, and this Father’s Day they’ve teamed up with local butcher P.Princi to create one serious gift pack. Secure your pre-order to get a 1kg, 6-week Dry Aged Tomahawk steak, paired with either Woodlands or Moss Wood red wine. Pickup Friday 2 September.

Brown Street Grill
A fine slab of beef should do the trick this Father’s Day, and Brown Street are adding three extra special steaks to their a la carte menu just for the day. To go with their usual dry aged scotch fillet, he can also choose a dry aged sirloin, huge Tomahawk or wagyu skirt – make sure to book ahead.

Hillarys Boat Harbour
Head to Hillarys for a range of FREE events and special offers from September 2-4, celebrating the super hero in every dad this Father’s Day. Old Youngs Kitchen
If a five course (!) Father’s Day feast sounds like the old man’s vibe, Old Youngs is throwing a huge one for just $72pp, with $16 kids meals to go with it. The menu is inspired by native foods and local produce, including a centrepiece slow cooked beef shoulder with bush spiced root veg and rich beef jus – yum! Book here.

For those beer loving Irish dads (or just anyone who loves a decent roast), the crew at Johnny Fox’s will sort you out! Book a table of 4 on Father’s Day and dad scores a free roast! Sport on the big screens, live music later and ice cold Guinness on tap – what else could you want?

Quarter Acre Hotel
The Quarter Acre is keeping it very dad-friendly, with walk-ins from 11.30am until late. They’ll be giving away ice cold tinnies, grilling up an epic steak sanga with pull pork loaded fries and a special chocolate “cigar”. There’s also games and fun to keep the kids occupied but most importantly, there’ll be a meat raffle – bonza!
Subiaco Hotel
